Luminescence was founded in early 2023 by a duo of passionate car enthusiasts working from a modest workshop with a clear vision: to transform the overcrowded and often disappointing underglow market in the UK. Frustrated by the abundance of subpar, non-waterproof kits flooding the industry—many of which arrived dead on arrival—they dedicated themselves to extensive research, design, and expert development.

Using the innovative app created by Christian Schwinne, aka “AirCookie” (learn more about the application on our WLED Application page), they designed a technologically advanced underglow controller featuring a modern user interface and many advanced features.

Given the persistently unpredictable weather across the United Kingdom, they have gone the extra mile to waterproof every component — including the LED strips, extensions, and controller unit. The controller is crafted with innovative polarity and overcurrent protection to prioritise safety during every operation. It also includes a built-in inline fuse and quick disconnects at both the controller and LED strips, ensuring seamless adaptability and effortless upgrades to your entire lighting setup.

Because of this commitment, there is a build time of 10-15 working days for our Version 2 orders, while our ambient interior lighting has a build time of 7-10 working days.
